Alexandrova hill near Pereslavl-Zalessky before the archaeological works of 1850-s. A rich archaeological memorial as it looked before massive destruction with early and clumsy excavations. The place was completely changed in XIX century after the archaeological works. -- PereslavlFoto (talk)

Now the scope's way too broad, as archaeology in Russia is going to be a much, much broader field than any one site could ever convey. Can we find some middle ground? Adam Cuerden (talk) 11:16, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment I haven't been able to find any echo on Google related to this site, as it is spelled here in English. Would you have a sound reference in English? --Myrabella (talk) 04:01, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Request I would say no requirements, but recommandations (e.g. "An English description is preferred although not essential" and "In the future, scopes should be internationalized, embedding links in different languages. In the meantime, please limit cross-project links to the English Wikipedia". Usually, scopes are worded in English. This search—thank you, Ikar.us !—helps us to find the fittest scope in English (another aspect is that references in English may help to attest that the topic is of more than local interest and that is worth a scope). So according to the page found by Ikar.us where one can read "The most common name, however, is Alexander’s Hill", I would suggest to reword the scope in "Alexander’s Hill (Александрова гора)". The related category could be renamed too. --Myrabella (talk) 08:48, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Is Done, thank you. I agree with Myrabella that "mountain" isn't the appropriate word for a small artificial hill. If named better, I'll support. --Ikar.us (talk) 12:44, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
