Review (criteria)	The figures look like cutouts. Is that how they really look in the painting? Because if so, I think the painting was damaged in "restoration" (it wouldn't be the first time). Many of the paintings of this period have this peculiarity. It is linked to the fact that the characters are painted by the master and the background landscaped by the assistants. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 05:10, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply] Really? That's interesting, but that was common practice with many great paintings, too. If the painting really looked like this and hasn't been overcleaned, it's a real artistic failure, in my opinion.
