Winners and prizes

[edit]

Here are the winners of the #VisibleWikiWomen photo & art contest, celebrating womxn and non-binary persons in sports through pictures, archives & illustrations. Our biggest thank you to participants, an to jury members Vic Sfriso (WMAR), Sunshine Fionah Komusana and Señoritaleona.

In total we had 56 submissions of archives and original images to our contest and we are extremely grateful for everyone’s contribution to the celebration and visibilization of womxn in sports.This process has had many lessons, reflections and  moments of joy. Our feminist future will definitely be exploring partnerships and opportunities for more contests.

Our 4 winning images;

  1. Are an embodiment of our theme on body plurality- distinct from normalized bodies and standards of who is often represented in sports.
  2. Tell stories of womxn in the broader context of our #VisibleWikiWomen campaign
  3. Express power, clarity and punch (should the jury says so itself)
