Comment Painting at the ceiling of Atotonilco church, a 18th century church in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. The ceiling depicts the passion of Christ, with this section showing the betrayal of Judas and the role of the devil. Notice the interpretation of the Roman soldiers. The artists, for lack of reference, utilized the model of the Spanish soldiers, a recourse used in art for lack of visual reference. The real credit goes to the artists that created this painting....

Comment This is a section of a ceiling, and as a section, one is bound to leave something out, as it is the case here. This is a synthesis of a subject. As far as "centering", well, in photograhy one of the first things one does is unlearn to center, for centering is almostnever good photograhic composition (see rule of thirds), for one centers that which calls our attention (eyes, in case of a face, for example) at the expense of either leaving something out or having too much of of something else that is irrelevant to the image. In this particular case I tried to leave in place the elements relevant to the section of the panting without cutting abruptly the other partial elements.
