- Support Good light, colors and composition. The milky water background is unusual and gives it wow in my opinion. Could you add a geolocation, please? -- Slaunger (talk) 21:18, 27 January 2017 (UTC)

- Support Good and unusual. Although I can't help seeing it like the crab is trying to escape becomming part of the boiling bouillabaisse below. Or maybe I'm just too fond of seafood... ;) --cart-Talk 10:22, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

- Oppose too blurred for me and it does not show the crab at all well. This image shows how colorful the crab actually is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlesjsharp (talk • contribs) Poco2 13:31, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Charlesjsharp: : With "blurred" you refer to the crab?. To me it looks crispy apart from the eye in the back (out of focus) and a leg which was probably moving, but I don't believe that we can talk about too much blur.
- Yes the moving crab and the stationary rock. 1/250 sec. works to blur the sea nicely, but doesn't make the Sally Lightfoot crab crisp enough. And I'm not sure why we would want to feature a picture of the boring backside of one of the most colourful crabs in the world. Charles (talk) 16:48, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- Furthermore, I don't see any issue with colors here. These crabs are colorful in the front, as it could be seen in this related FP, in this case I'm showing the back. Poco2 14:23, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- My impression, Charles, is that you may be evaluating this picture from a strict encyclopedic point of view. My purpose here was not to depict the crab in the best possible way to illustrate an article in Wikipedia, as I could have looked for in the the other image but rather a peculiar situation in the fauna world with an acceptable quality and composition. - Support Don't see any problems with sharpness of the crab, and we see it's back stripes and dots, plus good environmental image. -- Colin (talk) 13:52, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

- Support - I haven't been sure I liked this photo since it was nominated, but I looked at it again and like the composition at full-page size. Looking at most of the bokeh sandy water at full size isn't advisable, but it serves a good purpose at smaller sizes. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:41, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
