• Can we please put the rule of thirds to death at FPC. Or at least, anyone who quotes it should be required to refrain from opposing another image due to "composition". It's a poor guide for newbies who don't know any better yet. • FPC was not designed to be a teaching environment, nevertheless it has become that. New photographers come here to learn from comments made about photos and to make their first tentative nominations all the time. I can think of a number of users who have improved their photography skills thanks to this forum. The page views for this forum, plus the list, in English only is at an average of about 450/day. Add to that the 32 other languages that redirects here. A lot more people than the voters read these comments. --Cart (talk) 11:25, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
