•  Info The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this natural-color image of scattered thunderstorms, showers or Cumulonimbus clouds over Hainan island on May 21 2012.

The cluster of thunderclouds formed on the western edge of a trough of low pressure are on that day. Sunglint can also be seen in the photo along with faint sea waves and the eastern Gulf of Tokin.
