- Oppose not a bad image, but not commons' best work. Tomer T (talk) 19:06, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
- Because A.Savin asked me to further explain my opinion, which might seem arbitrary when based on a rationale such as "not commons' best work", I will explain my point of view in more detail. The photo is ok and it's good to have it on commons, but it features an ordinary subject from everyday life, in an ordinary way. Everyday life items could be the subject of a FP worthy picture, but the pic should introduce it in an inventive, appealing, manner, to make it stand out and give you the strange, undefineable, feeling of "wow", e.g. by using unique composition or uncommon points of view. This photo and this one are good examples of everyday items shown in an informative, as well as an appealing, way. Specifically regarding cod liver can, I'm not sure it is possible to display it in an appealing way, making it reach FP quality, but I may be wrong. Suprise me. But this one just isn't enough. --Tomer T (talk) 00:05, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

- Oppose per Tomer T. Maybe at a more interesting angle. Gamaliel (talk) 01:21, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose (formerly FPX) Image does not fall within the guidelines, Encyclopedic useful images have no chance to become FP, unless the nominator is able to mobilize the right people via IRC or similar. - A.Savin 06:38, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry Savin, but this is not a valid reason for using the FPX template (looks like making a point to me ;-) ). Anyway the author (yourself) can always withdraw the nomination. -- Alvesgaspar (talk) 09:32, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- It seems like Savin also chose to accuse me of being a part of a "clique", attributing my motives to that. Just like that, without any valid reason to assume so. I expect an acute condemnation of these accusations. --Tomer T (talk) 11:51, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

- Oppose per Tomer T., could be cleaner in general. Doesn't really follow in the tradition of quality food photography. Missvain (talk) 04:57, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
