•  Comment Yup, the Hi-Res feature on the newer OM-Ds is impressive, but I do miss some wow. Just a straightforward autumnal scene to me. --Kreuzschnabel 06:53, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
  • I don't know what Hi-Res is (apparently I should check). This is manual. The wow to me comes in part from the autumnal colors/light, but especially the scope. I wanted to get some detail of the people on the ground, and a span from the tip of green grass to brush/forest, but it's really about the trees for me. The height I wanted was just too tall for even a wide lens (and the one I tried created too much distortion in the trees), so I had a go at a panorama and was really happy with the results (a lucky moment without wind). — Rhododendrites ^talk |  14:47, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
    •  Comment The E-M5 Mk II was the first Olympus body to introduce the internal high resolution (hi-res) mode. In this mode, the camera takes 4 shots within a short span of time using the electronic shutter, moving the 16 MP sensor by ½ pixel between shots. •  Comment Just wanted to ask, how come Hi-Res can be on unstatic subjects. But i saw 9000+ px length - can Hi-Res do that Kreuz ? talk so is it pana made - more shots stiched ?   • Just 15 overlapping individual frames, but it's 3 wide by 5 high. So there's quite a bit of overlap to get several points of focus (some sharpening in post, too). Like I said, it was mainly about the trees for me. Then I let Lightroom stitch them together.   • 9,000+ pixels in width is technically possible – the OM-D sensor records a frame of 4,640×3,472 in RAW mode, with twice the linear resolution in hi-res mode. --Kreuzschnabel 16:25, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Just a minor touch-up for compositional reasons (saturation on the right edge because the similarity of saturation on the edges is one of the things I liked about it in-person, but the first version didn't capture that; and a selective shadows adjustment that's hopefully not too much of a liberty at the very bottom). Yes, that was an unusually warm day for this time of year and it shows in the photo, and it's nice to see people in the picture wearing masks and/or keeping their six-foot distance. •  Comment Rhododendrites I would still looking for some beter composition. For this, i would not put people od the dge of photo, but more to third rule or middle. But quality ig very good.
