Oppose Can't find any "wow" in this image. --Zzzs (talk) 10:23, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

Oppose It might have been a very impressive view. Probably everyone has ever visited the world through the window of a plane, and thought "wow, these illuminated clouds are so dreamy from above". Unfortunately, the pictures are seldom extraordinary, due to the thick layers of glass between the camera and the subject. Hazy landscape in that case, and dull colors are probably the result of the material. Hot air balloons are more convenient, and some drones sometimes that can fly high -- Basile Morin (talk) 02:11, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Basile Morin: Why offer impossible alternatives? There are no hot air balloon operators in the Azores, and the maximum drone flight height in Portugal is legally limited to 120 m. --The Cosmonaut (talk) 17:37, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Helicopter? Airship? Parachute jump? Jet pack? Flyboard Air? See these alternatives as general cases and potential solutions to get around the problem of the large glass barrier of the plane window -- Basile Morin (talk) 01:04, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, and one can try levitation if nothing else works. Alternatively, we can accept the fact that under some circumstances, shoooting through the glass is fine. --The Cosmonaut (talk) 02:41, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- But you admitted that the quality of your image was "not ideal".
- If you practice levitation, I would suggest to choose a special moment of the day like golden hour or sunrise :-) Basile Morin (talk) 02:51, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Of course it's never ideal to shoot through the glass. That's why the context in which an image is taken is important. --The Cosmonaut (talk) 03:52, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry but the context was certainly not a photo session. Most probably transportation. Like when you shoot from a train, it's difficult too -- Basile Morin (talk) 04:23, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- I'm sure there are some photos that can only be reasonably obtained from a train, with associated drop in technical quality. And that's exactly what context is. --The Cosmonaut (talk) 04:42, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
