- Info To me, just a quintessential picture of a male house finch. This is the bird I most associate with birdfeeders. Not because they're the most common, but because unlike sparrows, nuthatches, woodpeckers, cardinals, etc., I almost never see house finches when they're not at/near a feeder. This is in part because they spend a lot of time otherwise high up in the trees. all by — Rhododendrites talk | 14:05, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose I don't like feeders, but am opposing for the bird itself, too much of which is out of focus. Charlesjsharp (talk) 08:27, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

- Qualified support I love the sunflower seed in its mouth, and in this image you can see how they're related to cardinals as fellow finches. I think, though, that it could do with about a fifth of it on the left cropped out, as that's mostly dead space. See note. Daniel Case (talk) 16:50, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. I cropped it to take a look, and I rather prefer to have the centered subject with space in the direction the bird is looking (and the overall landscape, rather than square, perspective, given the lines). — Rhododendrites talk | 17:34, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
