- Support From w:Boreus: "Species of Boreus are dark in color, 3 to 5 mm long"! It would be nice to know which species this is, though. Any possibility of identification by sight? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:10, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment I asked from Urmas Tartes (who has photographed all kinds of insects that move on snow) and he replied roughtly that based on this image alone he can't be sure. There is definetly Boreus westwoodi in Estonia and so far he has determind that all the Boreus insects that he has photographed have been B. westwoodi. For instance there have not been any documented sightings of B. hyemalis in Estonia (at least in the database). Kruusamägi (talk) 19:38, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment We should not support without identity confirmed. The insect is very small in the image and not so sharp. Charlesjsharp (talk) 21:38, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment The feedback is: "99% on Boreus westwoodi". Kruusamägi (talk) 18:40, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
