    •  Comment Why not more of the building? We already have this one. I'm not sure there's really an improvement on that 8 year old image... It's slightly higher resolution but less sharp so I wouldn't say it has a significant detail advantage... Anyway, just my initial thoughts. Diliff (talk) 00:39, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
      • This is on purpose. I made a large panorama of the thing but preferred the top image instead. Aesthetics have prevailed over size... Alvesgaspar (talk) 01:26, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
        • It is another face? The windows seems to be more blue, I liked. Why you did not used this top, with this interesting clouds, in your panoramic? Although the more interesting sky, the lack of sharpness here is too tough, the D800 could delivered more... -- RTA 04:38, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
          • I think Alves has taken this from a different direction, yes. And I agree that the sharpness is a bit disappointing; f/14 was a mistake. The image is diffraction-limited and such an aperture was simply not needed in this case. Artistically, I like the image but it's less useful than it could be. • I'm convinced that the sharpness problem has to do with the used lens. It has a low luminosity (f/4). With a f/2.8 lens you would get a much more better sharpness result. The Nikon D800(E) is very sensitive for this. With good lenses you make superior images, with average lenses you'll get worse images compared to lower class cameras. --Wladyslaw (talk) 11:20, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
              • Maybe, but not always - it depends on the lens. Anyway, by f/14, diffraction will make even the best lens soft. It's generally agreed that you should not exceed f/8 with a D800E if you want maximum sharpness. The only time that I can imagine going beyond f/8 is when you really need more depth of field. If, like in this image, you don't need more DoF, then it will only ruin your image's sharpness for no benefit. Diliff (talk) 11:50, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment. Alves, another issue is the filename. It needs a better name and ideally geocoding too. We should at least know which direction the building is being viewed from. Diliff (talk) 14:38, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
