MBisanz is already a sysop on en.wiki, an OTRS agent and at last, a trusted flickr reviewer. He has a good part of deleted contribs (see deleted contribs), he has over 1500 edits in all. He is also very active at deletion requests. MBisanz also owns a foundation account, which was registered due to his knowledge on images. I offered to nominate him before today, but MBisanz wanted to be on the safe side & wait to get more experience, which I do really find is a good thing . I believe giving him +sysop will be a net positive move for this project. --Kanonkas(talk) 17:12, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

- Support Excellent contributions here on Commons in combination with his great reputation and fine work on the English Wikipeda, serve to make MBisanz a perfect candidate for Commons Admin...he'll wield the mop effectively here. Dreadstar (talk) 14:39, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

- Neutral - such a signature shows often a special kind of personality. Want's to be seen, want's to be in the middle. Need attention and acknowledgment. I hope, that will be not work into the administrative "Buttonwork". Marcus Cyron (talk) 15:54, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- Comment Do you not think this is a bit of judging a book by it's cover? J.smith (talk) 17:53, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- OK - this is Commons.... And actually Marcus is a valued contributor to the project over quite a long period. I've seen far weirder voting on en wp and - by commons standards - the sig is "different" maybe. Bear in mind Commons is whatever :) In passing I frequently get attracted to books by their covers & I guess the reverse must apply but I'll not get into favourite authors. --Herby talk thyme 19:13, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- I respect the value of being able to make sound judgments based on limited information. It's an important part of being able to function on a day-to-day basis. But, I think deciding if someone is qualified to handle private/sensitive information it behooves us to take a few moments to read a few pages from the book. In any case, I think I've carried this mediocre metaphor utterly too far! :) --J.smith (talk) 17:56, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
