Brynn is possibly one of the most level headed people around the Wiki, showing far more patience with the "Troubled" users than anyone else (That I know of). She has been nothing other than helpful around Commons (especially on IRC). She also has a very good grasp of how Commons works, and for those topics she doesn't know - she isn't afraid to ask. I would write more, but there isn't much else to say - other than her contribs speak for themselves. (PS. my apologies to the other admins that wanted to RFA her) ShakataGaNai ^_^ 04:26, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Co-nom

It is my pleasure to be nominating Brynn for adminship. She has got a great knowledge on images with about 572 deleted edits, and 832 total edits. In her time here at Commons she has shown great responsibility, and is a trusted user where she has been using her knowledge to flickr review images. She is active at deletion requests where she has shown she knows our policy, and image copyright very well. I hope the community believes the same thing as me and trusts Brynn with the tools. Wow. I feel like I should have something to say, but I’m flattered speechless - so much so I had to recruit someone to help me with this acceptance. Here, in its literary brilliance and entirety, is what my very talented speech-writer came up with:
"Thanks, I appreciate it and I accept Brynn (talk!) 05:00, 29 July 2008 (UTC)"[reply]
What he said. Cheers!

  • I’ve typed and back-spaced a ton in trying to form a response to this, and I do feel it needs a response. When I saw the big, ugly X, I felt sad. Not upset or anything, and definitely not resenting the opposition to my RfA - simply sad that someone had so misunderstood something I’d said, and was so offended by it, that it caused them to feel compelled to oppose. I suppose, teb728, if you knew me better, as most of the others around here do, you’d know that I don’t do mean, and I don’t do sarcasm. Really. There is never hidden meaning or implied slight in anything I say. It’s something I abhor and is just not something I do. When I say “hahaha”, it’s because I think something is funny. When I say “thanks for the giggle”, I mean just that. In my mind, having an in-depth discussion, that went on for days, end by having someone with very few edits hop in at the end and say “I’ve made a decision about it and done it!” was, and continues to be, hilarious. Anyway, I imagine if you stick around for a bit (and I hope you do) you will learn more about me and know that I’m sincere. In the mean time, please accept my apology for the misunderstanding. If you’d like to talk more about this, my email is open. (and if you ever have questions about Commons, feel free to leave a note on my talk page) Cheers. •  Comment Perhaps this is just a fluke but my only encounter with Brynns work was an incomplete deletion template applied to an obvious copyright violation. -- carol (talk) 05:40, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Her DR was incomplete? Do you remember which file? But I'd believe it happened, she was having a problem with the Javascript "Nominate for Deletion" for some reason. IRC tried to debug the issue - but we gave up and blamed Solar Flares (BOFH's Excuse #1) ^_^ --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 06:10, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
