English: An adult, muscular model sporting a moustache, and posing for a set in which he brandishes a japanese "katana" sword before a Sicilian rural house. We know nothing about him except for his name, which was "Santo": the original paper envelope protecting the negative of image # 464, now at the Fondazione Alinari in Florence, bears in fact the annotation: "Santo, mezze gambe, 464", i.e. "Half-legged portrait of Santo, 464". This is confirmed by the envelope for negative # 532, now at the Fondazione Alinari in Florence, bearing the annotation: "Santo 1/2 grande 532", i.e. "Santo 1/2 size 532".
