English: In antiquity, a parapet enclosed the three sides of the Temple of Athena Nike on the Acropolis, and consisted of marble slabs around one meter in height. Those slabs were decorated with marble reliefs. This is South Slab V, excavated over the source of the 20th century in five fragments that were restored during the 1980s. It depicts two winged Nikai (Victories) leading a bull to sacrifice. The standing Nike is healding the bull by its horns, the second one tries to restrain it with a rope once rendered in colour. Acropolis Museum inv. no 7098, Athens Greece.
