Kilchoman on the one hand is a settled region near Machir Bay on the central west coast of the Rinns of Islay. Creag Mhòr overlooks it from the south. Loch Gorm is located to the north. A distillary and a military cemetrary are located there as well as various historic sites. To the west is Tràigh Mhachir, the fine beach of the bay. On the other hand Kilchoman is the Parish of Kilchoman of the Church of Scotland, comprising most of the Rinns of Islay. As such the name might turn up in the titles of objects at diverse locations, such as Port Charlotte.
