In 2024 the category "Religious buildings in Cappadocia" (created in 2013) still made no mention of the many mosques, madrasas and other Islamic buildings in the region. This category tries to remedy that somewhat. As there is a lot of sub-categorisation going on in religions many objects will be missed as they are hidden in sub-sub-categories. The area is according to the text in the Wikipedia article about Cappadocia, where it is stated "It is largely in the provinces of Nevşehir, Kayseri, Aksaray, Kırşehir, Sivas and Niğde. "
