English: This group of fortifications were built on the cliff top north west of the coastal village of Happisburgh. This battery was built in 1941 to replace an existing battery of 6 inch gun battery that was located southeast of the village. The two brick and concrete bunkers were armed with 4.7 navel guns. Below the bunkers there are tunnels which lead down to magazine and crew quarters and a tunnel between the two gun emplacements. Also on the site was an observation post, artillery searchlights and the site was surrounded by barbed wire and other obstructions. During the Cold War the Royal Observer Corps used the site.
