Français : Le haut du blason (en chef) "lion d'argent et griffon d'or sur fond écarlate" représente une partie des armoiries des Chanoines de St Jean, Comtes de Lyon, qui furent Seigneurs de Soucieu durant 800 ans jusqu'à la Révolution.

Le bas du blason (en pointe) comprend deux quartiers : - Celui de gauche, sur fond d'azur, représente une branche de cerisiers en fleurs, évoquant le travail, le caractère rural de Soucieu. - Celui de droite, le sinople vert à l'arche d'or, représente une arche de l'aqueduc du Gier à la Gerle, connue sous le nom de "chameau", particulière à notre commune.

Le blason se veut mémoire du passé, image du présent et, davantage encore, porteur d'avenir.
